A visual identity proposal for the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Algiers 1, designed to feel rooted in its place while speaking clearly in Arabic and Latin scripts.

The emblem merges five references from the faculty’s context: the Martyrs’ Memorial, the campus dragon tree, Matiben Amphitheatre, an open book, and the nearby stairs and Mediterranean Sea.

The system

ONE EMBLEM.
TWO SCRIPTS.

Arabic and Latin typography share one visual hierarchy. Deep institutional blues establish trust and continuity, while warm gold brings distinction and energy to selected details.

18 Khebrat Musamim provides a confident Arabic display voice that sits naturally with the emblem’s vertical structure.

Montserrat brings a clean, contemporary counterpoint, keeping bilingual layouts open and legible across scales.
